Mandatory ECTN Certificate for All Shipments
Dear all,
In line with the recent
directive from the Ministry of Ports and Marine Transport authorities, effective
14 October, 2025, all
cargo arriving in Somalia must have a validated Electronic Cargo Tracking
Note (ECTN).
📅 What
to do:
1. To avoid possible penalties and clearance delays, please ensure the ECTN is obtained and approved before the shipment's arrival.
2. ECTN number must be clearly indicated on the Bill of Lading.
⚠️ Important to note:
Shipments without a valid ECTN will not be accepted for loading or discharge at ports!
