The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has introduced the mandatory Advance Cargo Declaration (ACD) requirement for all containerized cargo destined for Kenyan ports.
📌 What should you keep in mind?
✅ The validated ACD must be obtained latest one week before the vessel’s arrival.
✅An ACD Reference Code must be obtained before the cargo is loaded.
✅ The reference code must be included on the final Bill of Lading before the shipment arrives in Kenya.
Failure to comply with the ACD regulations may result in delays, penalties, or clearance issues.
⚠️ Important to note: No fee currently applies for registration, application, processing, validation, or wallet deposit. KRA reserves the right to introduce a tariff in the future through official channels.

Tip: we strongly recommend applying for the ACD as early as possible!
